About the Company
Sam Carbons, a proprietorship concern, was established to produce good quality activated carbon from coconut shell char. The company is situated in the heart of the coconut processing belt of the country with several carbonisation units situated in the environs of the factory. The production capacity is about 700 MT/annum.
Activated carbon is manufactured either by chemical activation or steam activation of carbonised raw material. In steam activation process, the carefully graded product is elevated to temperature of 850 - 1000C in activation kilns and steam along with required quantity of air is used to selectively etch the carbon to the requirement of the customer.
